Boy does Callie like to eat! All of our dogs are fed free choice - they have a bucket of dry food available at all times. This works very well until the girls get older and tend to eat a little too much. Callie's food bucket is kept in the outside part of her run and the blackbirds like to visit. It is not unusual to find a bird or two that just was not quick enough to steal her food and get away with it. Callie is an old-fashioned Weim with lots of bone and substance. We have kept a couple of her pups as future breeding stock. Her pups have excellent conformation with a quiet disposition. She is retired now and lives with friends just a few miles away. She is in our Hall of Fame because her offspring have made beautiful additions to our breeding program.
