Hereafter 'Seller' means Valkyrie Weimaraners LLC, 'Buyer" means party(ies) named above.
To maintain the quality of the Weimaraner breed, all puppies are sold with AKC "Limited" registration papers. If this guarantee is marked "Breeding Quality" and Buyer wishes to breed this dog, the Buyer may request Seller to petition AKC to change the "Limited" designation to "Full". Buyer's request must be accompanied by $100 and written proof that the dog's hips are free of dysplasia from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals.
The Seller quarantees this dog to be in good health at the time of sale and free of communicable diseases.
Seller guarantees this dog against genetic defects that affect the dog's quality of life until seven years of age. In the rare event that a genetic defect does occur, Seller will refund a dollar amount based upon the severity of the problem not to exceed the purchase price of the dog. Under no circumstance is the Seller to be responsible for the cost of heroic measures taken by a veterinarian on this dog's behalf and Seller will not be responsible for any expenses incurred on this dog's behalf without Seller's permission. Any veterinarian's diagnosis shall be subject to confirmation by a veterinarian chosen and paid for by Seller. Should said veterinarian not concur with the diagnosis of Buyer's veterinarian, the matter shall be presented to a third veterinarian (cost shared between Buyer and Seller) for final diagnosis. In all cases, Seller's liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the dog.
Should the Buyer be unable to keep this dog for any reason, the Buyer agrees never to take this dog to a pound or public shelter. The Buyer agrees to make a reasonable effort to place this dog in a responsible home environment and notify Seller of the new owner's name and address. If all efforts fail to find a quality home for this dog, the Buyer will return this dog to Seller with this dog's registration papers. Given proof of the buyer's efforts and after placing the dog, Seller will refund up to 1/2 of the dog's purchase price minus placement expenses.
Buyer agrees to refrain from breeding this dog until said dog is x-rayed and determined to be free of dysplasia by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals.
Buyer agrees to refrain from breeding this dog until 18 months of age if dog is a female.
Buyer is aware that the critical socialization period for puppies is between eight and twelve weeks of age and agrees to expost the puppy to a variety of experiences during that time.
Buyer is aware of separation anxiety in the Weimaraner and understands that crate breaking is highly recommended.

It is my hope that the above contract will assure you that you will be receiving a quality pup or adult dog. I began breeding Weims in 1969 and have spent many moments studying the breed standard, genetics, basic movement and temperament. It would be my pleasure to assist you with any questions or concerns.
